Our Story

A home-style program rooted in the Kern Valley

Vera started this program out of something she saw missing right here in Bakersfield — a childcare setting that felt less like an institution and more like a real household. After years working in larger centers, she knew there was a better way.

Located on Madison Street in a quiet residential neighborhood, our home daycare has been serving Bakersfield families for over fifteen years. We keep our groups intentionally small so every child gets the kind of attention that only happens when someone actually knows their name, their fears, and the way they like their crackers cut.

We're licensed by the State of California and registered with the Department of Social Services. But the paperwork is the easy part — what matters is that your child comes home happy, fed, and a little smarter than when they arrived.

Whether your toddler needs early morning care before preschool or you need full-day coverage while you work, we have a schedule that fits Bakersfield family life.

Infant Care

From 6 weeks old. A quiet, calm environment with a 2:1 caregiver ratio — because the youngest ones need the most hands-on attention. Diapering, feeding, naps, and tummy time all follow your child's rhythm, not a clock.

Toddler Program

Preschool Prep

Fully certified by the California Department of Social Services. Regular health and safety inspections.

CPR & First Aid Certified

All caregivers hold current CPR and pediatric First Aid certifications. We update them every year.

Secure, Child-Proofed Home

Gated yard, smoke and CO detectors, child-proof locks, and a strict sign-in/sign-out protocol at the door.

Background-Checked Staff

All caregivers undergo state-mandated criminal background checks and child abuse clearance before starting.
